Dental Implants

Dental Implants - Dental Surgery

Our implants have passed the most stringent quality control examinations. With an average of 1,000 monthly cases and over 100,000 rehabilitated patients to date, we can assert that implants are the best solution when it comes to replacing one or more missing teeth.

Our implants comply with the most stringent biosafety controls, and have been certified by the ANMAT (National Food, Drug and Medical Technology Administration), the Departament of Healt, and the European community.

We have the best specialists graduated from the most prestigious universities, both in Argentina and abroad.

What is an implant?

An implant is a screw-like piece fully made of titanium, a biocompatible material, which replaces a root or roots, depending on the rehabilitation to be performed, providing structural support to the new teeth. Dental implants are inserted straight into the bone; then, osseointegration takes place and the jawbone firmly attaches itself to the implant.

The material used for implants is top purity, grade 4 titanium, which is completely indestructible in the mouth.

Depending on each particular case, the osseointegration may take between 3 and 6 months. After this period, the restoration, namely a crown, a bridge or a full prosthesis, is attached.

Dental implants are a very similar substitute for the natural root of a tooth, and constitute the foundation for new teeth.

When are implants recommended?

Implants are recommended in the following cases:

- Loss of teeth resulting from a disease.

In young or elder people, periodontal disease, cavities and other diseases may cause the loss of a tooth. In such cases, dental implants are the ideal way of recovering one's original look.

- Teeth that fail to develop.

Teeth may also be missing for genetic reasons (agenesis). When a tooth is missing or fails to fully develop, implants are solid basis.

- Traumatisms causing dental loss.

Minor accidents occurring while practicing sports or performing daily activities may result in the loss of one or more tooth. In such cases, dental implants can also bring back good appearance and function.

Why dental implants?

Ever since the first implants were performed, this technique has been progressing by leaps and bounds. It is now an alternative to conventional prosthesis, with increasing advantages, since it provides security and good looks in situations never thought of before due to the absence of teeth.

Moreover, this technique is becoming increasingly simpler, to the extent that it may be performed at a conventional dentist's office, without interfering with the patient's normal life.

The process involves three stages:

- Diagnosis
- Surgery
- Prosthesis

What are the benefits of an implant?

The substance that makes up healthy teeth is kept, as it is not necessary to carve adjacent teeth. Implants offer a safe adjustment and the possibility to provide substitute tailor-made teeth. They have a long useful life and great looks, allowing the patient to recover his or her facial and phonetic expression. Implants provide a natural feel, as if they were one's own teeth.

Can implants be rejected?

Yes, implants may fail, but they will cause no physical harm to the patient, who will need to wait 3 to 6 months for the injury to heal before a new implant is placed.

Do you provide an X-ray service?

Yes, you can have your panoramic x-rays and helicoidal tomographies done here, as these are necessary for an accurate diagnosis. We own cutting-edge technology equipment for both practices.
