Laser Depilation

What is the laser depilation?

This procedure uses low energy laser to smoothly remove unwanted hair from any part of the body. On top of the evident benefits that this treatment gives you, you will notice that your skin will acquire a new texture and its quality will increase. This treatment has results that are almost immediate, and very effective.

What does the surgery consist of?

The area that is going to be treated needs to be fully cleaned before the laser can be used. Whenever necessary, a spray will be cryoanalgesic applied to the area prior to using the laser.

The energy of the laser will go through the skin and then it will be absorbed by the pigment of the hair follicle.

Once the treatment is finished, the area will be cleaned and the doctor will apply a descongestive gel. If the area that was treated was exposed to the sun, you will need to use sun block permanently.

This is a treatment that holds several advantages, since it can be done over an extensive area, it gives quick results and, as more sessions are done, the results are very lasting. On top of that, the skin will become healthier and more juvenile.

Before starting the treatment, you must keep in mind that this treatment will be definitive only after several sessions have been done. Each session must be separated at least by thirty days (it may even be necessary to go over an area again).

The patient’s metabolism, hormones, diet, kind, density and location of the hair will change the results of the procedure.

How long do the results last?

Applying laser will slow the growth capacity of the hair follicles at the moment of the treatment. Nevertheless, there are hairs that grow slowly, or on different stages, which mean that you will probably need another session after the first one.

After a few sessions you will note that your hair grows slower, and the texture and amount of hair will have weakened notably.

What are the risks?

The risks associated to this treatment area minimal, and it is mostly related to burns or hyper-pigmentation.

You will have to use sun block and a descongestive gel after the treatment to avoid rashes.

What do I need to get the treatment done?

The only requirement is that the hair on the area you are looking to depilate has grown enough for the laser to remove it.
