Liposuction – Laser and Ultrasonic

What is a liposuction?

There are three different types of procedures, the traditional one in which the excess localized fat is suctioned; the second technique uses saline and in some cases local anesthesia previous to removing the excess fat; the third technique is the ultrasonic liposuction, ultrasonic waves are used to melt the excess fat before being suctioned.

These techniques may be used to remove excess fat in areas such as the jowl, neck, arms, chest or breast (gynecomastia), back, abdomen, thighs, gluteus, knees and ankles.

In some cases, the liposuction is the only surgery done, in some others it is possible that other procedures are added, such as face lifts, breast reduction or dermolipectomy.
